Texas is one of my favorite states because I grew up here. Over the years, I have developed many precious memories, made friendships, seen new neighbors come in and seen new buildings come up. I even got married here and for fifteen years, my family and I firmly remained in our home that we treasured so much. I gave birth to my two children while living in this house and they were now approaching their teenage years, yet we had not considered moving to a new house. Interestingly, we had never changed our furniture for the fifteen years as we had developed a sense of attachment, to our farmhouse furniture and other antiques that we had accumulated over the years. We placed so much value in this furniture that whenever my husband and I thought about getting new furniture for our house, we did not have any convincing reasons for the move.
This was not until when my husband who is an engineer got a job with one of the most coveted companies that required him to move to Oregon. This meant that we had to move with him as a family. Although we received the news with excitement because it would be a good opportunity for us all to experience another state, we soon realized that there were sacrifices to be made. To begin with, we would move into a new apartment in the new state and this meant, that we would need to furnish it with new furniture, because there is no sense at all in moving with a set of very old furniture items, to a new state at a ridiculous cost. Thus, we agreed that we would sell some of the furniture,that could be bought by interested parties while holding on to small antiques that are portable. Secondly, this also called for thinking of a suitable interior dcor theme and budget for the new house.
Since it was evident that our new dwelling needed furnishings, I opted to furnish our new home with wooden furnishings. It is because wonderful home furniture is naturally beautiful and will blend with various interior primary colors,to give out natural color and create a warm and inviting interior. Among the things that we purchased include things like a giant pine table to use in the the eating area and accompanying chairs, pine wooden beds and custom wardrobes amid other tasteful items.
With all the major furniture items in place, I introduced a number of accessories that included some rugs and wall hangings. I also added a few of the antiques that I had moved with from the old home as they mixed in perfectly. These included wall hanging among other accessories. In the end, I had a very cozy and chic appeal in the home that everyone automatically fell in love with.
However, almost everyone settled inside their own rooms without difficulty to ensure that they didn't should maintain contemplating our previous residence.
