If food were not kept in refrigeration, food would spoil and if we ate it, we might fall sick. It is important to be aware that a chiller slows down the bacterial growth. It is a fact that bacteria grow quickly at temperatures in the range of 40 to 140 degrees. That is the reason why it is really important to set your chiller temperature at 40 degrees or below.

Some fridges have inbuilt thermometers and that maintains the internal temperature of the refrigerator. If an infirmary has a fridge that doesn't have this feature, an appliance thermometer should ideally be kept in the refrigerator to test the temperature. When a power outage happens and lasts for over 2 hours at 40 degrees or higher, food should not be eaten.

Hot foods must not be placed in a fridge until they have cooled down some. They can be chilled by putting them into a container of ice or cold water for some time before putting them into the refrigerator. Foods also should be covered before being put into the chiller. That way they'll keep clammy and won't pick up odors from other foods.

Bear in mind that foods that expire quickly such as lettuce, celery and others shouldn't be kept in the door of the refrigerator. Poultry products such as eggs ought to be kept on a shelf within the carton they came in. Most critically, keep the door of the chiller closed as much as feasible.

In today's medical world most refrigerators don't need somebody to defrost them but there are still fridges that must be defrosted. As you start to defrost a refrigerator, foods must be kept cold. This can be done by putting food into a cooler with a something that is cold such as cold packet. Then, continue on with the unfreezing and never utilise a knife or sharp object to remove frost. This will damage the inner liner of the refrigerator.

It is also really important to keep your fridge serviced by qualified refrigeration engineers. Any spills that occur should be cleaned asap; otherwise they will be hard to clean and will create an odour.
