When you are working in the creative writing field as a writer, you better learn and understand how to write a narrative. This is a special requirement for those who plan to make a book, especially if you specialize in writing mythology books for teens. In writing a good one, here are some of the basic elements that must be included in a story.

Setting. You better have a setting where the whole story will take place. Basically, setting is time and place. To write a good setting, some authors will describe landscapes, scenery, establishments, weather, or seasons. By describing these, it should be easy to provide a strong sense of setting for the fiction.

There is also the character. This is another element that must be taken into account as this is what lets the story take a step further. With proper characters, the story becomes more interesting. To make a character for a book, the author can decide on having them as humans, talking animals, or other types.

Conflict. Every story must have a conflict for it to become interesting. Basically, this refers to the struggle between the people involved with this narrative. As its central conflict, it is common for the main character to take one side. Conflicts can be against forces of nature, another important character, against one's self, or against society.

The plot is next. An effective plot will make the narrative more and more interesting. For your plot, it alludes to a series of actions and events characters take advantage of to have a central conflict. With that, the myth will keep going. By taking one action against another, it should be easy to piece the whole tale together.

Action. When it comes to action, characters can take a rising or falling approach. For the action, it is what increases the tension that surrounds your story. If included in the narrative, then the myth will be complete. The readers will come to know of the progress of a tale as well as where this is supposed to go to.

Climax. Having a proper climax in this myth is essential. After all, this is when all actions of the characters involve culminate to its peak. Climax is basically an unsustainable tension which makes the tale pivot. This signals that the narrative is about to reach its end and that a conclusion is about to be uncovered.

Resolution. In this element of a narrative, it shows just how the issue is actually being solved. This element serves to establish a new equilibrium or simply restore the status quo. The main characters usually have a hand at the resolution of a story. They are the central figures for its resolution.

Do not forget about the conclusion. This helps conclude your tale. With this element, the tale's completion will be shown. The readers can then determine whether or not the problem is properly resolved. This signifies the end of the journey for the characters involved in the said tale then.
