Weakened immune system. It's very much possible for your immune system to suffer if you fail to obtain 7 to 9 long hours of shut eye every single night. You are virtually defenseless against disease causing microbes like viruses and bacteria if your immunity is in a bad shape. As a result of this, you may constantly find yourself having bouts of the flu and common cold.

Fatigue. Definitely, you will feel tired the entire day if your body and mind didn't get the chance to rest the night before. Certainly, it's not just the body that will seem exhausted, but also the mind. Such is something that can have a significant impact on your work as your concentration and memory, too, will surely decline.

Anxiety and depression. Your mood can certainly be affected negatively by failure to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night. It's possible for you to have lots of anxious thoughts all day long most especially if there are so many things that you have to carry out or think about. Depression may also strike as well, according to experts. If you have an existing mental disorder, having insomnia can exacerbate it.

Premature skin aging. Refrain from assuming that the only aesthetic problem that lack of sleep may bring is having those pesky eye bags.
