Bayangkan jika kita dalam keadaan bokek, lalu kita memaksa untuk keluar dari kosan hanya sekedar ingin jalan-jalan. Ujung-ujungnya, pasti akan mengeluarkan biaya juga. Akhirnya, satu-satunya cara adalah diam di kosan tanpa kemana-mana.

3. Menghubungi orangtua

Mungkin, bagi mahasiswa yang ngekos dan kuliah dengan masih menggunakan uang orangtua, hal ini pasti akan dilakukan dengan berbagai cara dan alasan. Jika ditanya kenapa uang bisa cepat habis, pasti akan muncul beribu alasan yang keluar dari mulut kita.

Pertama-tama, ia menggenggam selembar daun seukuran kepalan tangan. Daun itu kemudian ia remukkan ke dalam kepalan tangan. Saat tangan dibuka lagi, muncullah uang dengan nominal Rp 50.000 dan Rp 100.000.

Dengan keahlian Abuyah ini, ia pun kerap kali diminta tolong para pedagang pasar yang sedang butuh uang lebih. Namun, saat ditelusuri aparat kepolisian, aksi Abuyah itu terbukti tipu daya belaka. Abuyah bersama dua orang rekannya yakni Komarudin dan Taufik Hidayat bahkan kini harus meringkuk di sel tahanan Polda Metro Jaya setelah ketahuan memperdaya para korban hingga menimbulkan kerugian hingga Rp 1 miliar.

Di hadapan para penyidik, Abuyah mengungkapkan caranya menipu para korban. Ternyata sebelum mengambil daun, Abuyah sudah terlebih dulu menyelipkan uang dengan nominal besar di bawah telapan tangan yang diselipkan ke dalam cincin besarnya. Saat daun dimasukkan ke dalam tangan, secara perlahan ia renggangkan cincinnya dan jatuhlah uang nominal yang diduga para korban berasal dari daun tersebut.

Kepala Subdit Reserse Mobil (Resmob) Polda Metro Jaya, Ajun Komisaris Besar Herry Heryawan, mengatakan sudah ada enam orang korban yang melapor ke aparat kepolisian terkait kasus ini. "Total kerugian yang ditimbulkan komplotan ini mencapai Rp 1 miliar," ungkap Herry, Selasa (3/4/2012), di Mapolda Metro Jaya.

Untuk meyakinkan para korban, pelaku biasanya membuat pembagian peran. Abuyah biasanya berperan sebagai "orang sakti" yang mampu mengubah daun jadi uang. "Supaya orang yakin, mereka juga pakai baju gamis, sajadah, dan membaca doa-doa," papar Herry.

Sementara dua rekan Abuyah yakni Komarudin dan Taufik Hidayat biasa menjadi orang asing yang turut melihat dan meyakini "kesaktian" Abuyah agar para korban semakin percaya. Sedangkan, satu orang lagi yakni Salim Lencam kini berstatus buron. Salim berperan mencari calon korban.

"Biasanya yang disasar adalah pedagang pasar yang berpendidikan rendah sehingga mereka percaya begitu saja menyerahkan uangnya kepada para pelaku ini," tutur Herry.

Biasanya usai korban menyerahkan satu tas berisi uang kepada pelaku, pelaku menukarnya dengan tas berisi daun yang diyakini akan berubah menjadi uang dengan nilai 10 kali lipat dari uang sebelumnya. Syaratnya, tas itu harus dibuka 15 menit setelah pertemuan usai.

"Saat korban pulang ke rumah, dia baru sadar ternyata isinya hanya daun-daun dan tidak berubah jadi uang," imbuh Herry.

Sementara itu, Abuyah kepada wartawan menuturkan bahwa dirinya belajar secara otodidak melakukan tipu muslihat itu. "Biasanya saya lakuin di pasar," ucap Abuyah yang mengaku sehari-hari bekerja sebagai buruh pabrik ini.

Dari hasil menipu, komplotan ini berhasil membeli satu unit mobil Toyota Avanza dan 1 unit sepeda motor Vario Techno. Setelah beraksi selama 1 tahun, Abuyah, Komarudin, dan Taufik Hidayat berhasil ditangkap dijerat dengan pasal 378 KUHP tentang penipuan. Ancaman hukuman di atas 5 tahun penjara.
